In this video Dreamcastguy compares the PlayStation 4 Pro against the PlayStation 5. Both console generations have been good but the amount of total games and high quality exclusives by Sony themselves that it is strange to see the tiny trickle of games we are getting in 2022, 2023, and 2024. This is nothing against sony or saying that Xbox Series X is better but instead just wanting a bit more from PlayStation when they get their studios going.

I honestly don't know why Sony killed Japan Studio, that studio brought smaller yet fantastic games that increased the Diversity of games on PlayStation.
Now most games seems like the same big slow AAA action adventure games with a bunch of cutscenes and quick time events.

There’s just not enough variety imo. If you’re not a fan of the serious 3rd person cinematic story driven game there’s what, ratchet, gt, and Astro? They’ve given up on quirky AA projects. Jim Ryan needs to go and Japan studio should come back

I feel like port's, remasters and dlc should all be excluded from lists like this. I love playstation but I feel like there is currently a lack of variety with games. I think I'm ready for some multiplayer games after years of playing single player epics. I want more than just cod, apex, fifa and rocket league though, its time for something new.

This list is completely nonsensical. Sony does fewer small games themselves nowadays and instead helps out with amazing titles like Kena, Sifu and Stray. Those titles eventually coming to Xbox doesn’t diminish their importance for the PS platform. And on top all of that Sony now has a deeper than ever relationship with big studios that make (console) exclusive content like the new Final Fantasy Games. There is actual money and even development talent from Sony flowing into these projects. Half of the PS4 list for 2016, which is equivalent to PS5’s 2023, is VR titles that are only published and not developed by Sony. It doesn’t take a genius to understand how flawed this visualization is.

Most of the best PS5 games which have come out are also on PS4. The difference between PS5 games and PS4 games graphically isn’t that big and at this point I would say there hasn’t been much reason to own a PS5 over a PS4. The leap between PS3 and PS4 was much bigger. For example Bloodborne came out early in the lifecycle of the PS4 and there’s no way that game could run on a PS3. The only game I’ve played on the PS5 which looked truly next gen was the Demons Souls Remake. I’m hoping to see more truly next gen PS5 exclusives and when I say “exclusives” I’m looking for more games which are not on PS4, not games which are not on Xbox Series S and X. Hopefully the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI and Mortal Kombat 1 will change this.

ps3 360 generation we didn't know how good we had it. 2 GTA games, 2 elder scrolls games, 2 fallout games. Ps4 generation 1 fallout game.

Still got my PS4 and have not even jumped to a PS5. Waiting for that must have killer game that you cannot get anywhere else but on a PS5.

I'm getting tired of PlayStation continuously making games for ps4 and ps5 and not allowing themselves to exclusively make games for the ps5 to get the full power and graphics potential. I mean I did pay $600 for a Next Gen console.

It’s true, PS5 hardly got anything, most of the exclusives are on the ps4 too. I would not count those to the list as the list is even more smaller . Also majority of the new games don’t use the new unreal engine technology to the full effect. Only a couple games does . I have many memories, good ones, on PlayStation 1 2 3 . Yes the graphics are old but the memories of the games than were breathtaking. PS4 and PS5 got some good games too but a good amount of them are remastered from PS3. Remastered proves the older PlayStations are the best games . Even the remakes proves the older games are the best too, put into more beautiful graphics . Look like they just got to do more remakes from PS1 PS2 and PS3 collections. Not just the exclusive category too, like Dead Space and Resident Evil did. My personal want from older games remake would be Resistance Trilogy, that was a Sony exclusive and the Onimusha Trilogy too. Even the first 4 Socom games were great the PS1. Just a few small examples of great potentials. The subscriptions is not my thing as most games are not good and we already buy the big games individually. Also I missed the splits co op to play together in same household . Now it’s non existence . Gears Of War and Borderlands the last I know that still does, Lego games does too but those not my type of games .
