Turf cutting should go on and continue. Worrying about turf cutting is absurd imo. Go ahead Ireland stop cutting turf with your 6 million population. There’s a billion people in China and a billion in India and large scale industry. There’s 360 million+ in the USA. It is senseless to discard your traditional folk culture because some bureaucracy orders you to. Think for yourself. Burning peat and cutting turf is not destroying the earth, but it does make you a little more independent as an individual and the governments of the world don’t want independent people.
