Crowds at the National Television Awards booed as This Morning won the award for Daytime TV amid the backlash from queue-gate. The shows presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby looked emotional as they walked up to the stage to collect the award.

In his acceptance speech Phillip addressed the crowd, saying: "Please don't ever feel like we get complacent." "Thank you so much for everything," Holly added as she addressed the public at home. "You make our show for us, you really do."

God there was some awful rubbish at this awards, a room filled with giant, smug egos and zero talent.

I’m not the biggest fan, but this has been blown out of all proportion. I could hear nothing but loud cheers there.

I bet there was fake applause being played to drown out the boos as it was expected

Remember when they had a wheel spin game to pay energy bills and they gave Boris an easy interview

I was there on the night, when they was announced there was gentle booing. But when they won. The clapping was very loud drowning out the booing. There was many people not happy and some people walked. It felt to me and the person I was with, the clapping was to drown it out, but can still be heard

Isn’t it strange if your on the telly you can get drunk have a car accident and everyone hopes you get the help you need
If your just joe public everyone wants to lock you up and throw away the key Also you can just jump the queue and say your working
You can lie to your family ball your eyes out on tv and expect everyone’s forgiveness I won’t be watching this morning or shopping at

Another powerful TV celebrity that groomed a young boy and had a whole PR team see him come out as a hero

"We need to create a national televised event to glorify tv personalities, to platform grandstanding, and to justify their obscene salaries as they pontificate about the struggles of life"

"Is this satire?"

"Nah, its called The National Television Awards...."
