I personally think the Copic Ciao markers give you the most bang for your buck, but you should decide what works best for your situation! They're all decent options, so see what's available to you and what prices are in your area.

I have never owned a Copic and when I go to the art store I fawn over them but then my parents see the price.
My parents:
You need that many shades of that one color?!?

Just get one at a time!

These are so expensive( followed along with) are they cheaper online, are they cheaper somewhere else, and you sure you want these?
*cries in corner because they don't understand*
But thank you for this video I might be able to purchase some good brush pens!

copics are way too expensive for my parents to buy. they said you'll have to buy one at a time. like you can't just have one copic marker. Thats like trying to start an ant farm with one ant.

Thank you for this! After watching this video I became really excited about learning more about Copic and other markers that were available for artists. My 13-year old recently got the Prismacolor that you showed on this video and I was excited that my parents got her such great markers! Hopefully for Christmas we can start investing in the Copic markers over the next few years!

Just a note on the Touch Markers: if you're Canadian and have a Deserres around, you can get each marker for $4.49 each in their stores without worrying about shipping.

And a general note, watch out for shipping costs on retail sites. That can make the difference.

Regular copics are 10 dollars and caio are 5. I want to know where you're getting yours. They're really expensive here. I'm going to get Prismacolors. I like prisma's products.

The colour code under the number on the Finecolours are actually quite helpful if you're a colour nerd like me; it's very similar to the NCS colour system. The first part tells you what colour it is, and the next code tells you how much black and white is mixed with the colour (or in this case black and clear). Let me use this code as an example: P80R20 b55w40. By looking at this code I can quickly identify it as a medium/dark gray with a hint of purple. The first code is Purple 80% Red 20%. That is the base colour, a purple leaning towards red. The next code tells me how much black and white is mixed with the colour; Black 55% White/Clear 40% which adds up to 95%; the last 5% is the purple colour. Another quick example: O100 b40w20 - It's orange mixed with 40% black and 20% white/clear.

the thing is 90 percent of the people in the comments can't buy it right? I DONT EVEN HAVE THE CHOICE OF CRYING IN THE CORNER CUZ ITS NOT EVEN AVAILABLE WHERE I LIVE UGH I CANT EVEN GET THE DUPES THIS ANNOYS ME I JUST WANNA DO ART WHY CANT SHIPS COME WITH COPIC MARKERS I JUST WANNA STEAL EM AL HEHEHEHE

(thanks for all the likes but wow this is so aggressive..
I live in South Asia-not India)
(also guess what im doing fine without markers. I'm glad they aren't available here because it would've kept me from starting oil, watercolours, colour pencils, pencils, acrylics. Which I love dearly at this point in time so all of u who cant find decent markers try other mediums cuz art has a wider variety of choices and who knows maybe you'll like that better than markers)

I'm 11, and (hopefully) getting Prismacolor markers for Christmas. I love art, and on Amazon, I found a brush and fine tip 72 pack for $141, which is way less than Copics. Just trying to help out some people. :)
