THE COMPUTER THAT PROVED TIME TRAVEL | THE DODLESTON MESSAGES

In December 1984, Ken Webster, a high-school teacher, was living with his friend Nic and girlfriend Debbie in the small village of Dodleston.

One evening, the three were walking home from the local pub when they saw a pulsing green light emanating from their cottage windows.

When they got inside, they saw something that terrified them.

Though their computer wasn't connected to any network, and everyone in the house was gone all night, a strange message was written on the screen. A message addressed to them, by name.

Over the next few months, more messages appeared. Eventually, Ken and his friends begin corresponding with the person on the other side.

At first, Ken thinks this is a hoax or a prank. But over time, he comes to believe that not only are the messages real, they're being written by someone living in the very same house -- in the year 1541.

Let's find out why.

I've learned so much in the past year from watching WF that I've had to go up in size on my tinfoil hat several times. I love your channel, keep up the amazing work!!

You will all be happy to know this show became a top rated classic. We do so love to look back at these old shows.

Do not disbelieve a paranormal story just because you think such things are ridiculous or wishful thinking. When my wife passed away unexpectedly-I was devastated.I have seen her spirit twice now.First time was shortly after her passing and the second time was on the one year anniversary of her passing.I know what I saw, I am not a self delusional type of person.I do not drink nor take drugs. She was there both times and she wanted me to see her. Both times made me the happiest I had been since before she passed away.I hope to be reunited with her when my time comes.I no longer fear death, I look forward to my times with her once again.

"One day you will all sit down at my table for wine and mead by the river in Oxford, where we shall read each other's books and laugh and we shall speak of truth and good men."

Aw, that's beautiful.

This is one of my favorite time travel stories. And - for a change - I don't think we can fully debunk it! Hope you'll join me for a live watch on Thursday night. See you then!

Today, March 11 2022, is the first time in my 50-odd years that I'm glad I had insomia, because it led me to this video and this channel!

I used to date Debbie’s ex boyfriend. He knows both Debbie and Ken very well and has first hand knowledge of the situation. Whilst I can’t prove this story to be true, I do know that they all genuinely believe it. I have no reason to doubt any of them. It’s absolutely fascinating. Thanks for covering 😊

8:40. That comment, "we are all a part of the same God" is eerie. The Law of One describes this. It goes that what we've called God is actually just consciousness and in order to be able to experience anything it essentially exploded into creation.

I think he tries to legitimately present things that are very questionable and bring them to light in a very positive and intellectual way I love the show and hope it continues

This channel is ridiculously fun. It's almost like the twilight zone with the amazing story telling and Mythbusters combined into one.

Please never agree to do a tv or streaming deal with any legacy media corporation (BBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel, etc.)
Keep doing this. This channel is a beautiful thing, and I have a feeling its going to lead you to bigger opportunities than any tv channel or network can offer.
Amazing job on this video, and I loved the subject too. Thank you Why Files!

This is my favourite paranormal story especially as I used to live in Dodleston myself. As time goes on, it becomes more and more convincing that this story is very possible. The technology that we have invented since 1985 alone makes it possible that by 2109 we might have the technology to be able to execute such an interaction.

When watching this show, I keep forgetting I’m watching something on YouTube and not an official tv show with some real production value and professional editing etc. Everything feels so well done! My new favorite channel.

If the dude in 1541 was really communicating from 1541, they could have told him to take an item of no great worth to him, and bury it where they could find it near the house. Perhaps a parchment with their names on it.

My 12 year old son actually wrote a paper based on what he had seen on one of the episodes. He explored Drake's equation and Fermi's paradox because of this channel! One more reason I raised my Patreon tier! great job!

Not gonna lie, when the message, "I thought you were also from 2109" crossed the screen, all the hair on my body stood up.

I started watching Mr. Ballen when he first came out. He's now got millions of subscribers on many different platforms. I hope this happens with WF. It's well deserved. I personally believe this particular story by the way.

Fascinating story! I didn't find the grammar professor's debunking to be all that persuasive. Language is full of slang and misuse. Saying a man of that time "wouldn't have said" a particular thing is a stretch. Even today, with global technology and the 24/7 internet, people a hundred miles apart speak differently. Love this channel. ♥

On the subject of weird. Years ago when me and my husband had just moved into our house ( in the 80’s ) something VERY strange happened. Our house was brand new so not old. We were both in the kitchen preparing dinner. Our kitchen was unusual that we only had 1 cabinet on the wall. It was also very small.
Whilst we were stood talking a very small ball the size of the rubber bouncy balls you can get from machines fell from out of nowhere. It bounced so hard that it nearly hit the ceiling. It then dropped like a lead weight to the floor. I picked it up and noticed straight away that it was very old rubber. A dark reddish brown. It was perished like very old rubber. After looking at it my husband bounced it. It wouldn’t even bounce at all. It looked very old. To this day we always talk about it. There was nowhere in the kitchen it could have come from. Not even up on the kitchen wall cupboard. I frequently dusted up there. We never stored anything up there. There was a deep trim around the top. It was like the ball materialized out of thin air. If we hadn’t seen it ourselves we would never had believed it.
