Which laptop display is your favourite?

I hope manufacturers would stop shipping gaming laptops with 45% NTSC (60 ish sRGB) because colors suck at these panels.

its too bad MacBook Pros aren't gaming laptops, because those displays are pretty nice.

Great video. Would have loved to see you talk about the disadvantages of each
Ex: Burn in on OLED etc

ive never heard of the term "IPS-Level"
imo, mini-led backlight is better than oled for all use cases

I'm ok with both mini led and oled. They look great and are getting easier to find in laptops and TV's.

Thanks for making this video, with a lot of the new exciting panel technologies that laptops have now, it's only more confusing for people who are fortunate enough to have a lot of choice when picking out a new laptop.

I personally absolutely love Mini-LED panels because I am a sucker for super bright panels with a lot of contrast, like the AMOLED panels in phones. Sadly, the closest we can get to that is with Mini-LED, which while isn't the best solution, is a great solution.

I really hope to see MicroLED panels come to laptops soon, because they look very promising. Even if the first few laptops with MicroLED panels are uber expensive, it would be an amazing fact that A LAPTOP with a MicroLED panel is available for purchase. That tech will slowly trickle down into gaming laptops, and we would be able to game with amazing response times and amazing visual fidelity. The future looks bright for panel technology (no pun intended).

If I had infinite money and could change my monitor every 2 years, I would choose OLED of course. However the possibility of burn-in is still pretty high. So for a monitor I would go with mini-led. I have an oled TV for gaming and movies etc and it is great... but for a monitor use I still avoid them. The fact that I would spend so much money and in 2 to 4 years it is almost guaranteed that the screen will have visible burn and this is something unfixable... and the screen will be useless... it just puts me off big time! If you use it without the safety features like a normal monitor, it is doubtful that it would last for even a year without burn-in. I do not know if companies honor their warranty for 2-3 years... and just send you a new monitor, ot if they find excuses to avoid doing that. But even 1000$ for a 3-4 year lifespan it doesn't worth it imho...

Beautiful. Super informative and straight to the point. One thing that's a downside of going to a Low Response Time display. You'll notice everything on something like a MacBook/iPad MiniLED. 😂😂😂 Got accustomed to 0.5Ms response time, Apple's MiniLED 30ms+ response time just hurt to see all the time.

I think the framework 16 is best for this, since you can adapt to whatever you need as new generations get released

I would love to see a 16inch laptop with: OLED, 4K resolution for good pixel density, HDR, 10 bit, 240hz, 1000 nits brightness across the entire screen, multitouch, anti- reflective coating on a glossy display.

I used to have an MSI GT77 laptop with a mini-led display. When I looked at the laptop for a longer time, I got a terrible headache. When I lowered the brightness more, the picture was so weird, but my head still hurt. Maybe it can be caused by Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation). When I look at the IPS display, I don't have these problems. Do you think OLED will be the same as mini-led? What do you think about it?

I gave my old 3050ti Ryzen 5 laptop to my GF. I bought myself a Ryzen 9 RX 7700S laptop. It plays games in 2560x1600 way over 60 with most games easily. Asus A16 Advantage Edition. QHD

I'm sticking to mini-led forever after buying my scar 18.

I wish QLED displays were a bit more common in laptops. Samsung, as far as i know, only
implemented it in their galaxy book flex but then discontinued it.

Getting my first gaming laptop next week. I’m having a hard time deciding between the new 18” razer blade with the 300hz display or the ROG scar 18”. Any suggestions?
