The Meaning of Guru Stotram | Swamini Brahmaprajnananda

#Śri Gurustotram is found in the Gurugītā, a text of 274 shlokas, which itself is from the Skanda Purana, one of the 18 Puranas.

Pujya Swami Dayānanda Saraswatī, had selected 13 shlokas from the Gurugītā which have now been accepted and chanted by a lot of the Gurukulams.

These shlokas discuss the glory of a guru, the role and necessity of a guru in one’s life, and the benefits of the pursuit of self-knowledge. The Guru Stotram (devotional verses) is a deeply meaningful stotram to chant and understand, especially on the day of Guru Purnima.

We allow ourselves to be deeply blessed by the entire guru parampara.
