Episode 383 welcomes back Ikimonogakari, Japan’s nationally beloved band adored by a diverse audience, to THE FIRST TAKE for the first time in 2 years.
They will perform “Blue Bird,” the opening theme to “Naruto Shippuden,” which aired back in 2008.

Blue bird was amazing at the time and is arguably one of the most iconic pieces in anime history. and what i get from this version of it is that it's been awhile and things are different from a first tasting but this....this version brings a tear to my eye cuz it's so damn good

It's always interesting seeing how other people drum!
I started off as a percussionist before I transferred to playing bass, and the drummer here being so good with a left-handed hi-hat is so cool to see!
My band teachers always scolded me when I tried to do that, and I was pressured to change to a right-handed hi-hat, so seeing this is a throwback to my origins.
