#opendiscussion I think that the red stickiness on the red woods is actually something poisoness to other creatures, but it's tree nutrients going through the air then the ground towards a sick tree, and it makes the nutrients poisoness to others so it cannot disrupt the healing process.

I Have Freshwater Collonial Bryozoans in West Central New Hampshire USA. They quite interesting, harmless an an important benefit, , , They Filter water in slow moving Freshwater. They Do Not like to be Moved or relocated, ( unless a biologists knows how to), they have the ability to relocate if something is disturbing them. There's other varieties in Saltwater an a variation ( relative?) in European Freshwater that seems to attract a parasite (?) that causes some problems in Europe. The variety we have is of beneficial importance as it helps clean water.
I read some interesting information about them on a New Jersey state website.

And I don't know how someone in Canada could catch a fish and think it was a Duck-Billed Platypus. Platypus are very small and have fur. But I guess if you have never seen one and only read about them I guess. I will say that's a strange looking fish.
