It’s done in the US as well. Some will trip
themselves to be seen and accepted by WP! 🤦🏾‍♀️

I’ve seen documentaries and other videos posted by African Americans sharing similar experiences in South Africa. It’s disappointing but I’m glad people are sharing THEIR experiences.

I thought I would get the mother land vibe in Kenya too. I also experienced the "white is right" vibe. My hotel made me pay in cash but allowed the white customer to use their credit card. After I complained, the morning desk attendant apologized and said the night desk attendant was wrong and said I could use a credit card.
I also noticed people were not as hospitable like I thought they'd be but when I'd speak, they'd open up and was super nice...you definitely gotta speak first.
I feel the mother land vibe and dancing when you get off the plane is only for celebrities.

The beautiful sister, in orange. It's not personal. People just want yo hustle to pay bills. There is no time for being "nice." Some Afrucans, esp those who have never left Africa or seen poor whyte, think wazungus have more money, hence can give a bigger tip. Karibu Afrika.

"I didn't see any African clothing", that's like me saying I went to America and didn't see any cowboys, there's a time and a place for everything 😔

If you want an African experience South Africa would be the last place to want to go. Try Ghana or Kenya.

Don’t think it’s personal. Probably hustling for a tip. No difference if they dropped another customer for an African American customer after they hear you speak… it’s all a hustle to make money at end of the day.

You do know that Congolese and Angolan ancestry are a major part of diaspora in Americas because of slave trade.

Hospitality in Africa is on another Level, its not always "whites first" but a white Person in Africa its obviously a guest...dont always interprete something that is not there😂

If youre an habitual victim you'll find victimhood whereever you go.
There's literally hundreds of AAs moving and many more living their deam life here. What about engaging with them. SA always privide negative fodder for our detractors. 😢
