The animal at 0:35 is a legless lizard, not a snake.

I keep snakes as pets. Never been afraid of them. Most other snakekeepers I know of don't become afraid if they get tagged by one of their snakes, so I'm not sure where that one specific point about us regaining our fear when bitten comes from. Bites don't hurt much if at all unless it's a larger snake, and if you panic you can easily harm your snake by pulling its teeth out and causing infection. Most of us know that bites aren't a big deal.
