Counting notes in 4/4 time with rests: Whole, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes and rests. 4/4 time means that there are 4 beats to a measure ( top number ) and a quarter note ( bottom number) gets 1 beat. Whole notes get 4 beats, half notes get 2 beats, quarter notes get 1 beat, eighth notes get 1/2 beat and sixteenth notes get 1/4 beat. The similarly named rests indicate a corresponding duration of silence. That is, a whole rest means 4 beats of silence; a half rest means 2 beats of silence, etc. If you find this video helpful, please give a thumb up and subscribe.

There is nothing wrong with this video, I'm just mad at Google because I asked for countings with a voice but no Google is rude to me.
