As an Indian, I can tell you what happens in Indian serials while dealing with 'death':

1) The person actually doesn't die, they reincarnate.
2) The person "survives" the "death" and just gets sent to the Hospital.
3) The person does not die and just losses their memory completely just to regain their memory after like 12 years.
4) After the person's "death", the police searches and REPORTS THAT IT IS A DEAD BODY and yet somehow the corpse turns out to be of someone else.

Like... The plot will be very interesting then somebody's mother-in-law spawn out of nowhere and slap the main character and the slap would be repeated 2000 times in different angles and perspective. As an Indian, I assure you we Indians are embarrassed of this aswell and find this disturbingly comedic at the same time.
