The urine flows from the kidneys to the bladder through two thin tubes of muscle called ureters, one on each side of your bladder (one side pictured in this video). Your bladder stores urine. Your kidneys, ureters, & bladder are part of the urinary tract - these are the organs that are involved when someone gets a ‘UTI’.

The kidneys also remove excess acid that is produced by the cells of the body & help to maintain a healthy balance of water, salts, & minerals—such as sodium, calcium, phosphorus, & potassium—in the blood.

Yeah I haven't had this happen in over 22 years. I have no kidneys so I have nothing to make the urine. I have been doing dialysis 3x a week since Jan of 2001. Everyone that can, be very thankful you can pee. Don't ever take it for granted.

Ive had bladder cancer for 16.5 years. I have had 18 surgeries so far. The surgeries have caused scar tissue around my left ureter. Because of that the one way valve that opens up to release the urine as you see in this video wasnt working. My urologist removed the valve so my ureter is wide open however this may allow cancer cells to invade my ureter and into my kidney. So with every operation, he inserts a camera into my left ureter to have a real good look. PS My cancer was caused by smoking cigarettes. I was no longer smoking when I was diagnosed. Dont smoke cigarettes or use nicotine

The entire body and its coordinated functions are absolutely amazing. My favorite are the eyes and what they give us, especially info to the brain. So few people respect the delicacies of each parts inter- connection to the others. And they still bungie jump, slam their bodies in a football game, ride dangerous dirt bikes on and on. Respect your body, appreciate it by excercising, not overeating, learning to relax and meditation, by not smoking and drinking excessively. Most chronic diseases are preventable. A healthy body is priceless.
