Is Your Home Ready for Winter in Fargo?
Winter is right around the corner, and that means that you have some preventative maintenance to take care of. It may seem odd, but you need to clean out your gutters before the leaves fall in them and it snows. If the water doesn't drain properly, you could have major problems with your home's foundation. Watch this video to learn more about how to winterize your home!

Today I have some helpful tips for you to help you prepare for the winter weather that's going to be on its way soon. You want to prepare now so you're not left 'out in the cold' later.
First and foremost, you need to ensure that your gutters are clean and free of debris. Leaves will prevent your gutter from draining properly, and the water that is trapped will freeze and wreak havoc on your foundation. Make sure your downspouts are laid out as well.
The next thing you need to do is winterize your hoses and your sprinkler systems. Any water that is trapped in these will freeze and the pipes will actually burst from the expansion of the ice. Detach the hoses and drain them of all of the water. This can turn into a serious mess if you forget about it or if you simply don't do this at your home.

I could go on and on, but I suggest you read some more of my winter survival tips here.
