WATCH: Anne Curtis surprises mom in Australia

MANILA -- Actress and "It's Showtime" host Anne Curtis is taking a short break to spend some quality time with her mother in Melbourne, Australia.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Curtis shared a video of her surprise visit to her mother, Carmen, who just underwent an operation.

"Surprise a success! Mama just recently got out of the hospital after a successful operation whilst I was in Canada. And as you may know, I have a crazy schedule but sometimes simpleng lambing na parinig is it all it takes to book a flight agad agad," Curtis wrote in the caption.
Her sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, also flew to Australia "so we can help our brother Tom, take care of her whilst recovering at home," she addded.
Curtis also thanked her "It's Showtime" family and ABS-CBN for their understanding.
"I’ll be back Saturday. Back to being a dutiful daughter muna ako," she said, adding that her mom was indeed surprised with her visit.
