President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his army wants to mobilize as many as 500,000 troops - though he hasn't yet taken a decision on the matter.

At an end-of-year news conference in Kyiv, Zelenskyy went on to say that no-one knows when the war with Russia will end. During a recent trip to Washington, he failed to secure Congressional approval for 60 billion dollars in military funding. Despite this, Zelenskyy said he remained confident the US would not abandon its support for Ukraine.

The president also admitted that the Middle East conflict is undermining international support for his country.

In 2022 they claimed they had 1.1 million troops across all branches, however during this trip Zelensky said they now had 600k troops across all branches, and now he wants 500k more. Very odd considering Ukraine themselves claims they have only lost 35k troops. Why the urgent need of half a million troops that would perfectly replenish their ranks up to 1.1 million again? I have a feeling they're lying about their losses lol.

While Zelensky did not gave any decision on that, military commissariats already started massive conscription in any public places in Ukraine. Looks funny to hear from him that he did not agree that yet. The abyss of misunderstanding between government and military commanders only increasing, while only thing they do is to call Ukrainian people who speak about it - russian agents.

500, 000 fresh troops! Take that Russia, according to Ukrainian casualty figures they have only had 75 casualties so far and those were just minor injuries. That means that Ukraine will have nearly 1.5 million soldiers in a few days. With the Russian soldiers fighting naked with shovels in the winter, and 90% of them having been killed so far, Russia doesn't stand a chance.
