Maybe some people would think I overrate Oogway but let me explain this: Master Oogway was an elderly tortoise (+500years) and the previous senior master of the Jade Palace. He is credited as the founder of the Valley of Peace , the CREATOR OF KUNG FU. He was highly venerated for his wisdom, knowledge and experience, Oogway was cosidered by many to be sage. Also he was the developer of the Dragon Warrior legend. He trained Master Shifu, Tai Lung, Po, the furious five and many others. He defeated Tai Lung with 2 finger moves. He has the most powerful spirit. He beat Kai and the second time he didn't even want to win.

I would say Shifu is stronger than Tai Lung and the furious 5, he never really outright attacks Tai because of his emotional attachments to him. I think he should have already known how to use chi and all that from the start because he was Oogway’s personal student and successor

Idk if the gap is so big but it’s definitely possible for oogway to be stronger than po. It depends on the writers but it’s imposible for us to confirm or deny it. The facts are that we have not seen oogway fight at full strength, I think he could have easily beaten “pre breakout from the spirit realm Kai” but he even says it himself, he was not meant to take down Kai. I think it was just that Oogway wanted Po to get more powerful so he could defend the mortal realm and Oogway just doesn’t want to leave the spirit realm. Now also you can read the description to see all of Oogways achievements, because I didn’t say anything about how strong Oogway was, just how it’s imposible to know who is stronger.

Mid-training and Post-training Po's power levels surpasses most of the Kung Fu Masters who have longer experience in Kung Fu and Po was taught in Kung Fu about a week (if i remember right) in the first film. Geez, he's special case in Kung Fu Panda history.

It's honnestly cool how the trilogy make 3 différent villains : Tai Lung was the martial artist type. Shen was the smart and strategic one. Kai was the powerhouse

Oogway is the most experient than anyone, but in true power, po goes to first, still he would lose for lack of knowledge. Its like anakin and obi wan or yoda, anakin is the most powerful force user, but not as experient as kenobi or yoda
