In 1998 I lived and worked in Jowhar Somalia where most NGOS were based as Mogadishu was not safe. I worked logistics for MSF. The conference was organized to tell all of the Somali officials and NGOS that the Collective West (EU and USAID) was about to cut 50% of the aid to Somalia. Not long after all foreign NGOs had left. Al Shabaab appeared, and predator drones have been dropping bombs on villages since then.
Africans despise the treacherous Collective West.
