Nothing is more Marvel than killing Spider-Man then acting like his replacement is in some way better

Imagine all of what is happening to Spiderman right now, brings him back into his subconscious, where he says that admittedly, he isn’t sure he is the best Spider-Man anymore and he thinks he needs a break, needing the Superior Spider-Man. I really like to think that this time, Otto will stay and Peter will have a kind of Moon Knight multiple personality thing.

I thought it was an extraordinary take on the character. It was really interesting to see exactly how powerful Spider-Man is when he doesn't show restraint. It is also worth noting that the Peter Parker that emerges from this storyline is technically a completely different version than the one we followed up to that point. He really is just the boiled down essence of Peter and not the original at all.
