I started with very limited music theory. I then joined your bootcamp which helped my production skills soar . Yes, you do need music theory to advance from good to better and so on unless you are an exceptional talent.

My favorite artist who's said (multiple times) that they don't know much music theory is tn-shi, I actually think it might be a benefit. Their songs are more unique than most if not all other artists I listen to.

the moment at 6:16 where he says "it's just so pretty. i want it to be done so i can listen to it in my car" is me whenever I add a new melody or sound to a project.

Fl studio, abelton live, cubase to my understanding will show you all the possible notes that are in harmony of whatever key you choose. Also scaler is like 50$, drag and drop chord patterns, crazy huge list of possible harmonies

So the chord progression is F major, A minor, C major, and D minor (or D minor7 do to the C pedal tone.) I was thinking that it was going to be a D dominant7 instead of a D minor7.

Music theory is to western music as English grammar is to the English language. You don’t need to know grammar/theory to know what you want to say, but it helps if you are trying to explain something to someone else and you want to express a specific idea in a specific way.

Hey Bro!!! been watching you fir a while and i think your super dope. i had some questions cause i bought your orbital pack. t sounds better than a lot of sounds i have rn. but i noticed some samples don't sound exactly the same . for example the basic saw compared to the sample on your site sounds a little bit more dull/ do i need to do anything to tweak to make it sound as BIG as the one on your site? i really want to use this sound. Thanks brother appreciate you :)
