Richmeters / Aneng digial 6000 count DVM multimeter - a hack to add range hold and select button.

These little 6000 count auto-ranging meters are surprisingly accurate and cost only around £12 from China.

However, there's no 'Range Select' or Range hold' button.

Adding ta Range button gives much faster response when reading resistance, current or voltage, as there is no time lost while the DVM decides which range to use.

Here's a hack to add a Range button. It should only take a few minutes to do, and will cost hardly anything. The effort will be well worthwhile.

Parts required:
A tack switch,
Scrap wire.
A hot-glue stick.
