You can tell by the way they were looking at each other that they shared strong feelings. Reality mixed with acting

He looks so proud of himself when he said "ten".

There’s something I can’t stop seeing, but I think it’s a really good touch made to the film. Look at how John and Jane are dressed at the beginning compared to this ending scene. John was shaven and wearing a tie- more formal style- and here he has a beard and a loose shirt unbuttoned at the top. Jane was hair tied right back and had a very formal looking shirt and skirt, and here her hair is looser and her clothing is a more comfortable feel.
They both have re-embraced the true love they had for each-other and now trust one another more. They no longer have the need to feel very sophisticated and secretive around each-other, they can now love each-other as husband and wife

Fun movie but the abrupt ending always annoyed me. They killed all the assassins in the department store and their agencies just gave up trying to kill them and let them go back to their marriage counseling sessions?

The fact that he says, "there were times I wanted to kill her" and she knows he means it and could possibly have done it -- and is still smiling sincerely and enthusiastically, even before he says, "but I just couldn't take the shot" -- a fine example of how they remain offbeat and... different shall we say... but are now much more romantically-healthy together than before.
.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith... putting the "fun" in dysfunctional! XD

I don't blame Brad Pitt for falling for her. If Angelina looked at me like that (0:01) I would just melt. 😅

This was such a fun movie. What really made it different was that they were legitimately in love when they filmed it. So you could tell there were little things that seemed ad libbed that made them 'feel' like a real couple. I think if you don't have that, the movie doesn't work as well.

I walked in to a room with a bunch of guys watching the end of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I decided to buy a used DVD of the movie to catch the context of "Ask me the sex question." Actually, I thought it was a great movie on the need to negotiate differences in marriage. I loved the fight in the car as they were being shot at.

Love this ending. Good popcorn movie. Too bad there aren't many of these hot guy/woman action comedies these days.

I think that “ten” means that they did it in the car before they went in there.

Fun fact: therapist is played by William Fichtner

It takes one hell of a woman to look “more than a man can get” next to f-ing Brad Pitt. And it goes the other way around as well. These two together look as if Aphrodite and Adonis were a couple.

Does anybody remember this film ending with them both saying their piece, then they shoot the counsellor with silenced pistols and it fades to black?

This scene clearly reminds me of their real life divorce
