Today Josh goes over one of his favourite FM23 tactics at the moment, a 4-3-3 tactic that managed to score 4+ goals per game in 4/5 tests that he done with the tactic! Would love to see this trialled with the 4 bottom predicted clubs in the premier league at the same time to see how they fare. Plus would love to see this used with clubs in lower divisions that are predicted for relegation

Knap tactics are great! - Would love to see how they work in a 2nd season once a team is promoted, eg would Crawley get back to back promotions. Delegate transfers and contracts to the DoF so they do the appropriate business 😜

I just tried this with Hibernian and in my 2nd season in charge (on FM23 Touch, BTW), we finished 2nd in the Scottish Premier League, won the Scottish Cup, and qualified for the Champions League. It definitely works. I only signed players on frees and cheap but good players I found.

This tactic is a cheat code bro. It almost feels like it. Was struggling with aston villa and one of a sudden as soon as I used this tactic my team just exploded. It feels nice but on the other side it's kinda feels not okay.

Could you do some reviews of Knap’s tactics please? Those that you are showcasing recently just don’t work. Have been trying to use Underdog tactic in my save, Bradford being promoted to the Prem and I struggled. Switched back to a formation that got me to the Prem and I finished mid-table.

I think these tactics videos would benefit from a format change. Just listening to someone read out instructions from a tactic that someone else created isn't really engaging. Maybe it would be cool to try and understand how and why it works? It would help people learn more about tactics

Since FM 2019, dont think ive ever settled for a single tactic the whole game. I usually have at the very least, 2 tactics. One which is more gung-ho usually at home and another abit solid away from home. Match engine seems to have changed since then i think the AI are abit smarter nowadays. Finding a goal scoring dominant tactic usually isnt that hard, its looking for an away and slightly more defensive tactic that is the task.

Tried this set up with my non league team Cleethorpes Town in the Northern Premier League division 1 East (tier 8). We got huge XG but barely any goals scored and being wide open at the back we mostly did concede goals. The only difference I made in this set up in the beginning was playing with one BPD and one No Nonsence central defender. We got XG around 2 towards 3 a game but hardly scored goals. So I did adjust a few things like switching the 4-3-3 into a 4-4-2 flat. Next to the advanced forward I placed a pressing forward support. The XG gets even higher now and we do score goals. First game we started with the adjustments we had a comfy 3-0 at HT which in fact could have been easily a lead double that size. Another problem is the energy it demands of the players. So with the 3-0 lead I tought I'm comfy for the win and switched back to the 4-3-3 with a compactness between the defence and offence lurking on the counter and trapping the opposition inside so we have more bodies and thus bigger chance for a conversion of posession so we can brake with long balls to the striker. Still conceded 2 but got the win over the line. Now I'm curious if we can hold this quality of XG and somehow plug the holes in defence so we concede lesser than we do now.

Hi is there a 4 3 2 1 tactic you could try and create where you have a lf and rf and false 9 type role if that is possible, please. I haven't seen anything like that yet. Great video and explanation i really like how you make it clear that you should try and adapt some instructions in game if things aren't going to plan .
