Coming from a Kenyan, Bekele was an absolute nightmare in the track events. We rarely won gold during the period where he absolutely decimated all competition. I hope he runs a few more years in the marathon. #IronSharpensIron

I'm flabbergasted over how many years these two guys have been among the world's best.

Ethiopians and Kenyans are the greatest long distance runners in the world. They live in high altitudes so their breathing is almost super human. Salute to both of these extraordinary athletes.

Bekele on his prime (before his injuries) is simply the greatest distance runner ever. Amazing domination.

Bekele dominated the 3km, 5km, 10km, short and long cross country races with an incredible finishing skill. On the other hand, Kipchoge dominated on marathon and has an amazing endurance. Both are legends!

Bekele hands down the overall GOAT in distant running! Kipchoge the marathon GOAT! That's about the best way to portray these legends!

The effort that must go into the research, footage and editing of these videos is insane

At his peak bekele defeated everyone. He was simply untouchable. 5k, 10k, and cross country. Long and short. Understandably with age and injuries he has slowed down. Moved to Marathon. Still showing flashes of brilliance 2nd fasted time. He is indeed a Unicorn

I've said it before and I will say it again, "Andrew is simply the best at explaining what was, what is, and what could be, all ASPECTS of distance running"!! The time and effort spent is unmatched...I cant even imagine finding a better storyteller for this particular niche.

This is very simple, Bekele is the king on the track and Kipchouge is the boss of the road!!!

Viewers: We don’t know what Bekele is going to do.
Kipchoge: I don’t know what Bekele is going to do.
Bekele: *I don’t know what I’m going to do.*

Bekele has a lot of heart. I love Kipchoge, but don’t be surprised if Bekele pulls out an upset! I’m putting my money on him!

On the marathon, Kipchoge has ruled.
In the field and in short cross countries, Bekele was unmatchable

As much as I like Bekele and could see him beating Kipchoge in everything including the half, Kipchoges marathon ability is crazy

Elluid Kipchoge should have started as a marathoner. He is more of an endurance athlete than a sprinter. Imagine if he had the chance to beat the 2 hour mark when he was in his 20s. damn

As much as I love Kipchoge, I have to root for Bekele. He’s back to underdog status, and I feel he’s gone through so much during his career to get to this point, including the death of a significant other. I want to see him win, take the world record, and cap off an incredible career in the most glorious fashion possible.
