This whole nepo baby thing is so detailed and nuanced. When that article came out last year that restarted this discussion, I never took it to mean that actors with famous or well-connected relations do not deserve their careers, I think people have now started to notice that marginally-talented actors with these connections seem to regularly get work, which would be less likely had they waited tables before getting their big break. This has been going on forever, but it's now gained attention from having so much content out there, there's more likelihood to come across this. Let's face it, if you're the child of a famous parent, you can do anything, but since you grew up in Hollywood, chances are that's all you know so you'll probably stay within the industry.

For every one nepo baby that succeeds there are hundreds that fail, but failure does not mean untalented. Connections can get you the chance, but it takes a certain amount of talent, timing, luck and audience acceptance to be a major success or even a minor one. Would be interested to see a clip on the biggest nepo flops if it hasn't already been done
