6 years later you're still helping people man, thanks!! Literally thought the ties were an ingenious inexpensive system I wouldn't have thought of; thanks again!!

Maybe leave the lid on the tote for easier removal and clean up. That way you can carry bedding and bunny poo (bunny gold) straight to the garden, mulch box, tree base or trash can and then just spray/wash off the lid, dry and return to cage. Less mess on boards and easier for you. Win, win!

This video makes building a rabbit hutch seem doable to me, thank you!

I love this idea. I have been wanting to get a hutch for my rabbits for ages, but they are so expensive. I think even "I" could possibly build most of this myself. I already have a rabbit house made of plywood.. so I'm all set. Just need the cage. Thanks for the great idea!

I liked your video! I'm in the process of building a hutch now. We have 12 bunnies. The only difference is we're making it when the whole lid lifts up. I'll continue following you and thank you for sharing 🩵

You should put a blanket or some bedding in the tote for your bunny to nest with! I like how you wanted to give your bunny more space now that she's bigger!

Thanks for posting this idea as a play time area for my bunnies. Its lightweight and moveable like a chicken tractor!! People miss the point that this is not a permanent home.... its for fun and a break from an enclosed pen or boredom indoors. THANK YOU and GREAT JOB!!

This is great, I can't keep my rabbit in full time but want to build him a run for exercise and this is awesome! Will work perfectly.

Great and simple idea. Even I can make it! I'll be using this idea tomorrow (slicing up a wooden door for some of the wood). Thanks for the idea. You've probably saved me a bit of money (here in England :)

I have been raising a newborn rabbit and cannot afford any cages but this video helps a lot and I’m sure I will figure out how to work it out

Made mine in a couple hours. Still have to add the floor for the cage but super easy. Thanks for the video.

Similar to what I was thinking about. I like the idea of no wire in the bottom. I know that rabbits are diggers but I like to slide it around every other day for them to have different area under them. Plus they can mow my grass and add fertilizer :-)

My sister in law has 3-4 pet rabbits; she wants to downsize her collection, and she has offered me one of them.
We also have a cat enclosure (wood) that was a DIY project, but the cats just ignore it. So we thought about converting it into a rabbit hutch by lining the interior with heavy wire. It's pretty big, like five-six feet long and four feet high, so plenty of room...but then there's the "how do I create a door" issue, so I ended up at your video! Thanks for sharing!
I just hope these little guys get along well with energetic cats!

Love that you wanted to give bun proper space so he/she is happy. Looks great too! Only thing is bun needs more shelter from the weather. And make sure he/she can't dig out.

Looking up this video, is going to inspire me to make a rabbit hutch easily for at a low budget as I was looking more sophisticated ones and ending up much more expensive. Wood already have in-house just missing wire frame but is cheap to buy as well. Thanks a lot for your video it still helps people out today!

Good for inspiration on building my own. I like the wire ties to hold the top down. Great idea.
