Beautiful stove. I have a Chaleureux airtight and it has solid steel doors.. What I wouldn't give to have a full glass door.. I can hear it crackling but can not see it to enjoy it. I had a chance to get a soap stone stove and I regret not getting it. Mostly because no matter what one you get they are very beautiful and my goodness they heat so nice. Great video

Just did my first burn with the stove after the break-in. I just noticed the front glass has a strange bubbly look in an area about the size of a softball. Can't examine because the fire is going, but I'm getting nervous it appears to be bubbling. Hopefully, it just wipes away after the fire is gone tomorrow. Also, I just put on the blower, and now there is a strange smell almost toxic. If you have any answers, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you

Do you cook and heat water AND attach dispersion fan on top? Can you also attach the baking oven to the stovepipe? Thank you!

I once asked a forum full of of soapstone stove enthusiasts how long it took to get a reasonable amount of heat out of a soapstone stove, from a cold start.

They all agreed that 2-3 hours was realistic.

I guess the side load is no good with the stove in that little nook. The way kinda in the way don't ya think? Looks like a nice efficient setup though

I also have this kind if fireplace but it isnt giving much warmth and takes a lot of wood.
Do you know what the problem may be?

If you have fire bricks inside ie retaining heat, doesn't all the heat go out of the chimney ?

Looks like most of the heat is going up the pipe and not into the room. Basically it’s for looks not heating.
