Easy step by step guide on how to save money by automating and schedule shutdown (stop) and startup (start) of virtual machines in Azure.
This simple powershell script allows multiple virtual machines to be stopped and started using azure automation runbooks.
This is part 1 of 2 in the video series. Part 2 will focus on using logic apps to read the Azure Automation output via a Parse JSON connector.
This allow you to schedule the shutdown from the logic app and be more flexible by adding in other components like email alerting of VM status and details in a simple way.

Storage is almost free. I used to work 12 hours a day a job and they would shut down my working VM at 5 PM. I had word with the admin... Great video.
