The Contact DLC Pack! - Space Engineers

This is a Space Engineers 2024 showcase video for the new DLC pack Contact! A amazing pack of cosmetic alternatives that allow small blocks ships to have almost the same customization level as large block grids! With a full kitchen set, small block bed, media player, spot lights, a modular container and fancier looking rocket and gatling gun turrets and more! This pack also features some nice goodies for large grids as well that I can see getting a lot of use in the future, with the gates and especially the helm blocks! I go over each block in this DLC pack, show off what they can do as well as giving a few build examples and then do a quick and dirty skin and colour test to show how each of the blocks change!

Those modular bridge helm peices are actually SUPER important for smaller large grid ships.

They are exactly what i need for my cockpit areas.

They have the half-block in the front to fit in with a half-block surface that simulates the hood of my cargo ships.

They have the window and the cockpit in the same build-square, which is crucial for builds where you only have enough space for 1 or the other.

It's so EXACTLY what i was harping on about about 3 months ago on the discord server that i have a half-mind to say that i was the vocal idiot that got these added to the game. (I also take credit for toilets)

CWIS is the name of the point defense system. I worked alongside the people who operated and maintained them when I was in the Navy. I worked on a defensive missile system.

I like the content update. There are some good blocks for the kitchen and a new bed! Im excited!

You were pretty close.
Sea-RAM is the point defense missile launcher (mostly for shooting down anti-ship missiles and aircraft)

CIWS (pronouced Sea Wiz) or more accurately Phalanx is the American Point Defense galting gun for naval ships, for use against missiles aircraft drones and small boats

C-RAM (also pronounced SeeRAM) is the land version of the Phalanx CIWS galting system geared towards intercepting artillary shells and Rockets

Sea RAM, C-RAM, and CIWS, all similar in goal and not at all confusing to keep track of lol

i like that folding bed idea you have given me a challenge now it was asteroids passing sun causing shadow i think so much detail in these new dlc

I love the new cargo container, you will be able to make some slick new ships with them

The small-grid bed is not matched to any of the large-grid blocks, so you cannot switch grid sizes when holding either bed type, and have to change it through the block-pick menu. This is a bug, and will hopefully be fixed soon.

The new cargo container is not a reskin of the Medium Cargo Container. It has 10, 000L at realistic world settings, which is about 2/3rds of the volume of the Large Cargo Container for small grid, and about 2.5 times bigger than the Medium Cargo Container.

Concerning question: Why are none of you content creators talking about what's going on with the DLC on XBOX. You guys are supposed to be in a way the advocate for the general public.

It's great you got your product and you're having fun but a lot of us already paid for it and now 4 days in and we still haven't gotten it.
