Ndere Centre is sinking in debt

On Thursday, the Daily Monitor ran an advert by Quickway Auctioneers, notifying the public of an intention to auction off property belonging to Ndere Center. The auction is being called to recover a 6.8 billion shillings loan, whose value has now grown to 10.5 billion shillings, including accumulated interest and penalties. Ndere centre should go beyond this feature and start running a “Save Ndere Cultural Centre” campaign. Online, mainstream ads using the various players in the entertainment industry like musicians. Let them widely call upon kindhearted Ugandans to donate towards this cause as they engage other stakeholders.
