What Does It Mean To Be Poor In Spirit?

What does it mean to be poor in spirit? To be poor in spirit means that you are humble about yourself and your spiritual state. When someone thinks they are a spiritual giant they are being prideful and the total opposite of what it means to be poor in spirit. Jesus said that the poor in spirit are blessed because they will look to God for salvation and not unto themselves. They look to God for strength instead of looking to themselves.

You are correct it is humbleness that brings you to God. But I'm a born again baptized disciple of yeshua jesus christ. I am a saint saintifide by faith in the blood of christ as my justification. I am a citizen of the kingdom of heaven. I am a child of light, a son the most high God. No longer a sinner born from above. Quit living in defeat . Move on from the cross. Walk in the newness of life. Quit living in defeat. May the fathers face always shine upon you may his son be found in you.
