I Have a BIG Announcement to Make...

After two decades of being a news anchor, I have some breaking news of my own. On November 10th, I will officially be signing off from my news anchor job at WPIX in NYC after 15 years. I'm excited and emotional, but I know it’s time for me to put my energy into my next chapter - advocating for women who are experiencing life transitions, reinvention, midlife, menopause, and everything in between.

What to expect from me: I am currently launching a podcast and a book and documentary are in the works!

I have you all to thank for this - for talking about what's on your mind, sharing what resonates with you, and allowing me to share my life with you. I'm so excited to take you along for the ride.

If you have any questions at all, please leave them in the comments!

About Tamsen Fadal:
Tamsen Fadal is an Emmy award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and menopause advocate. Known as social media’s midlife mentor, her candor and relatability have established her as a leading voice in the menopause space with a passionate, loyal social media audience of 3+ million.

Tamsen is the producer and executive producer of the PBS documentary The M Factor, Shredding the Silence on Menopause which is the first documentary of its kind confronting the neglected menopause crisis, challenging societal and medical shortcomings, and advocating for a revolutionary approach to women’s health. From the boardroom to the stage at SXSW to Capitol Hill, she advocates for policies that eliminate the stigma of menopause and foster a work environment where women feel comfortable discussing and managing their midlife health journey.

After more than three decades as a television news anchor, Tamsen made the bold decision to pivot her career towards women’s health advocacy. She’s the best friend helping guide women through midlife and beyond, acting as a one-stop resource for everything they need to know to live their best lives.

Equally passionate about health, Tamsen holds a certificate in holistic health coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), serves on the national board of Let’s Talk Menopause and is a strong voice in the fight against breast cancer after losing her mother to the disease in 1990.
Her regular media appearances include Oprah Daily, The Today Show, The New York Times, and The Harvard Business Review.

Ps 52 is not old. My 54 year old inspiration is JLO! She is so beautiful in so many ways and doesn’t stick to just one thing. Look at her lingerie line. You are making a pivot into new possibilities and passions, new visions! ❤

My 2 cents. There are people out there that have made a big name for themselves giving tools and advice for people. However I think there are so many people, every day people, that have life experiences that just never thought of themselves as someone wise or they don’t do much on social media or whatever it may be. I would say to not overlook the every day people who are amazing and inspiring. Every once in a while maybe have a chat with them. I really look up to them. Especially in comment sections. I’ve seen some really amazing things in comments. Just my 2 cents

I love this. I became a Social Worker last year after years of floundering through different careers and never feeling settled. I turned 50 this year and I finally feel the most settled in my career than I ever have. When your career matches your values it feels like home. Congratulations and good luck!

Exciting!! I spent 14 years of my adult life as a hairstylist and after a divorce I went back to school for psychology. Next week on Nov 16th I graduate as a social worker at 50yrs old and couldn't be happier. I know this is where I am supposed to be!

Tamsen, congratulations! As a former journalist, I have been so inspired by you and how you have connected with and encouraged so many women who are navigating this midlife transition. We need you in this space, and I cannot wait for all of your new endeavors to unfold. Thank you for all you do, and I hope you're taking some time to celebrate all of it!

I’m happy for you! I hope to find my next steps.
I’m 45 and no idea what to do for work. I’ve done many random jobs for the last 30 years and nothing to show for it. Been applying to low level, random, work from home jobs and no one wants to hire an older woman with no expertise in anything.
It’s disheartening and depressing amidst perimenopause feeling pretty useless as it is 😞

Didn’t know you were a news anchor. I’ve seen some of your posts on IG about other things. Makeup, your fashion, advice for life. Had no clue. But now that you say that it makes sense why you always look fabulous! Women anchors are beautiful. Now it adds up.

OMG...Nov 10th is also my "sign off" (yes retirement at 53 yrs) from a 20-year career as a professional opera/jazz singer! AND I'M OSCILLATING between fear and excitement. But, I, too, know that I'm doing the right thing in transitioning to another creative passion.

Wishing you the very best in your new endeavors and adventures!

Love, Light and Blessings, ❤

Way to go, Tamsen!! I love the symbolism in your video with one door closed directly behind you (old job), while the open doorway is to your left---open to new opportunities, new directions, new paths, new possibilities. Congratulations on being fierce, fabulous, and an inspiration to us all!!

I'm 40 and slowly seeing that my career as a sales woman doesn't look that bad added to the fact that I build it parally to growing up 2 kids alone. Now I feel it's time to reflect about the next steps I will have on my professional path, maybe daring to make also a big change. I want my kids to be even more proud of their mom and want to be for them a model role. Thank you for being so inspirational for us women! You feel like a big sister to me! ❤
