I love the inlays, probably will be worth more later too, seeing as it rare.

I brought an amp for repair at a local music shop
I wandered around for a while soaking in all of the inventory
I picked one of these guitars to fiddle around with and was hooked
the acoustic tone is vibrant and clear, plugged in, yep, the combination of the woods, electronics, and neck spoke to me
The neck is not the chunky studio
neck. It is thinner with a nice grade to thickened towards tte body. It is also not very heavy..
This one drew me to it and I am looking forward to getting really creative with her…
As always Anderton’s, well done
Cheers 🍻

I've had this guitar for a little less than 6 months and it just keeps getting better.Initially I'd go back and forth on liking the look of this model. All aesthetics aside it just plays too well not to try one out. Absolute powerhouse of a guitar. If your local shop has you have to try it out before dismissing it over the dot inlays!

Despite of it's controversial look, it feels and sounds really great. Played this for some time and it's really awesome.

My advice as an owner of a 2017 High performance Tribute model is make sure you play a few of these! I tried about 3-4 and one of them just sung so much sweeter than the rest

I REALLY like your video style, no intro, no dialog, just music. Thank you!

I've got a 2013 70s tribute les paul gold top and it's one of the best playing and sounding guitars I've owned! Tributes ( at least the older ones) are very underrated!

I have this guitar, but mine came with chrome humbucker covers, and the big trapezoid inlays.

One of my favorites in my modest collection! The dot markers always grab my attention🤙🏼

This is my guitar, and I LOVE it. So happy with it. Of course Pete makes it sound like 1000x the guitar I can do anything with hah

And all of a sudden people love the 2016 and 2017 models, while they where whining about them 2 years ago....there are alot of weird people on this planet....

So, as everyone else is putting there opinion here, I guess it’s my turn.

Yes the guitar doesn’t LOOK as good as the 2018 (I still like the look though), but how does it FEEL? Maybe, with the money they saved, they put it into more QC, or finishing it that much better. Or maybe they’ve just made it a better guitar, at the sacrifice of some looks. Maybe it just plays better, or sings that much more. If that’s the case, then I am totally fine with this guitar, and think it would be great.

Don’t forget how important feel is. I have not played the guitar, but just want to point that out to everyone

Played on this today. Wasnt aware of previous models (havent bought a guitar since 2017), so pretty much played this blindly. Honestly, I loved it. Felt great, sounded great.

I could get over the dots, I guess thats worth complaining about lol. I mean I understand the aesthetic appeal of guitars, its something I take into consideration too ofcourse, BUT ultimately what compels you to buy/play a guitar? For me, it's how it feels in my hands and how certain tones/sounds resonate with what I like to play. That's why I like this guitar, it's hard to really get its sound by a YouTube video, but I plugged it into a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and it sounded pretty darn good.

To each their own, if this is not the guitar for you, why bother complaining about it, go search for a better guitar to play.

I don’t know if it is me or Andertons that is confused.
I am looking to buy a Tribute and I thought they had
returned to trapezoid inlays for 2019, and looking at
the Gibson website cleared it up for me. The guitar
played in this video is a, Special Tribute, there is
another model just called, Tribute, that is $200 U.S
more and has Trapezoid inlays. The captain and
Pete did another video with the Tribute and Studio
models with inlays, and this had me confused just
because the guitar in this video is not stated as the
Special.

I have a 2017. My number 1 guitar live. I like the worn finish. To me it just feels better then guitars with a heavy finish on them.

So 2017 Tribute is still the best Tribute model.
