How does Chick-fil-A outsell every fast food restaurant?

Hint: It has nothing to do with religion.

It has everything to do with emotions. Humans experience six core emotions:

Your ads will never do what you want if you aren't triggering one of these six emotions.

Did you get angry when you saw that I didn't attribute Chick-fil-A's success to religion? If you did, emotion drove you to comment on this post or (hopefully) read this sentence.

Chick-fil-A's ads do a great job of triggering happiness. The famous billboard cows made people laugh (happy). The red couch ads create an optimistic feeling (happy) that everything will be ok.

Great marketing exposes bad products and services. They back this messaging up with in-store service. Their focus is on happy customers and we reward them for it.

Let's be honest. Chick-Fil-A focuses on customer service, above all else. The staff is engaging, friendly, and professional. You never feel like you are inconveniencing them when you ask for something, and they are empowered by the store to take care of whatever issue you have. The food is good...that's it, just good. Truth be told, I generally prefer the food at Popeye's. But the staff treats their customers like shit. I've lived all over the U.S. and I've never encountered a Popeye's where the staff doesn't act like you're a pain in the ass for just being in the building.

I have never once seen a chick fil a commercial. Just those cow billboards. But it’s not the ad that makes it better. Chick fil a has superior customer service and much better consistency than 95% of the Popeyes I’ve been to. The question when jonesing somewhere for a Popeye’s is “Is this a good Popeyes location or a normal one?” With Chick Fil A, I’ve never had to ask this question. Every single one of them has been good.

Popeyes has better chicken sandwiches if you find one of the good locations. Easily a 10/10 sandwich. But I go to Chick Fil A because it’s always a consistent 8-9/10.

I totally disagree. More people go to ChicFil A primarily because they like the food more. The idea that those ads are the reason why people are lined up around the block makes no sense to me. I bet most of the people in a ChicFila drive thru line have never seen or cant recall seeing those ads

Popeyes' chicken is all greasy crust and vey little chicken. They're expensive and their menu is confusing.

Ain't no one going to Popeyes cause they treat their customers like crap. If you're not in a RICH neighborhood, most times the Popeyes will be closed or they're out of something or the workers are sitting in their cars not wanting to work and or are rude about it. Chick fil have workers who are sweet most times and a well staffed drive thru.

I never saw a fight breakout over a chicken sandwich at a Chick-fil-A. Of course Popeyes has had thousands in their stores. And all that fighting over a hyped up bland ass sandwich. Chick-fil-A is better in every way to Popeyes.

Lie to yourself not everyone else. Chick-Fil-A is better by miles even if your order it on an app and never go to the store. Chick-Fil-A could make the same menus as Popeyes and it would taste better because the ingredients and cooking method is just better.
