Fwiw there's an option to temporarily pause YouTube history so that videos you watch don't continue to your algorithm - if you're doing dedicated research sessions that would seem ideal.

That or ad blockers, IMHO YouTube has done a lot to actively make the experience of using their software worse and choosing not to pay for it seems fair in response. I do think people should get paid for work but when you've gone out of your way to make yourself the only game in town then the only realistic choices are to pay the bridge toll or break out the ad blockers

Another thing to consider is that Amazon has nowhere near the presence in retail overseas as it does in the US. Living in Australia for instance I probably wind up buying a lot more from Amazon than the average person here and I still buy *way* too little to justify having Prime, and I think it's actually even a bit cheaper here than in the US

Amazon Music used to allow selecting songs for Prime members and they took that away a few years ago. Expect more of the same as they tighten the belt on these non-revenue services (Prime Video, Twitch, Photos).

here in germany netflix is 5 euros with ads, 14 without, but 20 more than 2 devices and highest image quality
prime is 9 with ads, 12 without, so its still a better deal than netflix PLUS the other prime benefits you get from regular amazon. i dont like the ad thing and the price increases but amazon is still at least the least bad tbh

I enjoy Amazon prime video. The boys, Gen V, and invincible are some great shows to watch on there, along with some others. I agree, YouTube with out ads is the best experience.

Are you kidding? Amazon is literally one of the most popular streaming services because their original content is so unique and captivating. They literally pump out The Boys, Gen V, Invincible, and now Fallout? Adding Mr Beast is not so much a lifesaver as it is another win. I feel like the gang is a little out of touch with this one.
