Hare and Partridge

Probably my favourite river nymph, the hare and partridge or hare and gold is such a reliable fly for nymphing or swinging on the rivers. It works in a range of bead colours and sizes, and I like it tied on jig or a regular hook.

Materials:
Hook: Hanak 400 #16
Bead: 2.8mm Rose Gold
Thread: 8/0 Brown
Body: Hares ear
Tail: Partridge
Hackle: Partridge
Rib: Pink Thread - Glo Brite 1

where can you get nice small partridge feathers? I bought a pack but most of the feathers have fibres as long as about a size 10.
