I'm living proof that changing transmission fluid is essential. In my case, I should have taken out the factory fluid the day I bought it.

To sim it up. Change transmission fluid and learn how to drive correctly if you drive manual. Got it.

My Chrysler Lebaron 1990 is suffering from this . And we used ams oil it's entire life span I guess when grandma handed the keys over the fluid was already old. I get a jerk when downshifting in 3rd hope some new fluid helps, she's an old girl in tip top shape too.

After I got hit on the right fender in my 2015 jetta I noticed my car ( 2 days later) started leaking fluid at the time I just thought it was the A/C or something because it wasn’t leaking too much just visible, so I never moved the car since the accident until I took it to the repairs and 6 days later there was a puddle under the car. My friend came over to check it out and touched it and showed me it came out red. So fast forward 2 days later I try to move my car and when I shift from park to drive there’s a 2 second delay followed by a huge JERK, or when I switch to reverse, the car VIBRATES then stalls out. It’s now in the mechanic getting the transmission replaced with (33k miles) and my car has 80k miles. I pray everything works out well and I get it back soon I really miss my baby

Add a bottle of seafoam to the fluid. Drive for a week or two. Drain the fluid and change the filter

@AMSOIL INC.
What i don't understand / or have a handle on. Certain Manufacturers recommend specific transmission fluid.
Ie .... Ford Mercon LV, Mercon V, Ford Type F / GM : Dexron etc / Toyota WS Fluid / Honda their own honda fluid.

So even tho Amsoil has two or 3 types of transmission fluids which will work for multiple vehicles.

How are you able to make a fluid work for multiple vehicles and have it be better than what their dedicated fluid is? I don't get almost more risky. in the sense maybe i'd be better using the Dealer OEM fluid and changing more often.

That's My hold up.

So drive an MK6 VW Scirocco and my great changes are smooth when i take steady and increase speed gradually. When i make a high speed take off it staggers when shifting gears. I changed both the gear box and mechatronic oil successfully. The problem still persists please help. I am not mechanic BTW.

Thanks for the great video! Please please could you perhaps help me? I am always getting -700 mbar clutch E fill pressure after adaptation. 8HP55. I cannot find anywhere an information if this is outside of the allowed pressures. My transmission when the fluid temp is over 70-80 C, jerks slightly always before shifting 1-2 and 5-6. Very very slightly 2-3 and nobody can help me. Not even ZF official repair shop. Mechatronics has been checked and entire transmission rebuilt with new parts. No one knows why it jerks :-(

My Z jerks hard when shifting. I never thought to change the fluid. I’ll report back if changing it was the problem.

How long should it take for the jerk to go away if you had dirty transmission fluid and got it changed?
