Decathlon Evadict MT2 Trail Runner Review | Best Affordable Hiking Shoes

In this video, I share my review of the Decathlon Evadict MT2 trail running shoes, which I used for my 820km GR11 thru-hike. In total, I've hiked almost 1000 km with these trail running shoes, and I think they're great for long-distance hiking. They're incredibly cheap, comfortable, and they provide good traction on all kinds of surfaces. They aren't too durable though, so you shouldn't be hiking with them after more than 600km in the mountains.

P.S. I wasn't able to find some items on Decathlon.

This is an often used shoe in the Long Distance Hike Scene in Germany. The grip is the best I know. I would recommend this shoe 100%.

One of the best shoes that I've ever purchased in my entire life. I also wear them to work on casual Fridays and I've always gotten compliments.

I hiked several Caminos (500+ km) in Spain with these shoes and I totally recommend buying them!

Oscar I saw this and your other video on Sawyer ... Very less creators go into these details and after this much use. I hope you stay on YouTube and your subscribers grow even more than you want.

Those shoes are my go to everyday walking shoes, and I am on the 4th pair. They have a quite wide toe box, which I need. For me a pair easily lasts 1000-1200kilometers. One trick is that because for my taste the sole of the shoe is too flexible, I use it with quality Superset or Sofsole insoles.

Pretty informative sharing my friend! Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan!

They're designed as trail running shoes, not for long-distance hiking with a backpack, so really, it's a bit unfair to review them as hiking shoes. I use them for rough-terrain trail running, and I am on about my 6th pair of Decathlon shoes. They all last about 500km before being ripped to bits, but try something like a Hoka which doesn't last and costs 3x as much, so really for the price, its excellent value

Thanks, I was looking for a good review for these shoes, exactly for the same purpose, walking in all terrain, not running. The info you gave me was very helpful. Kudos to you and your girl :)

thanks for the info! we have these in Colombia at the Decathlon stores but i was skeptical to drop 160.000 COP on an unknown shoe (have owned many pairs of Altra's and those are my go to for hiking)

Thank you for review, great job. You mentioned in your older video that your winter hiking boots are 1 size bigger then your regullar size, is it the same with those summer shoes-1 size bigger?

Why didn't you go for Hiking or Trekking shoes like MH500 or MT100? These are trail runners and are not the best for hiking imo.

These shoes have a little pouch on the tongue to tuck the laces into, so that they never become loose.

How did you fit your shoe? I have 42 and 42.5 options. Tried both, none is loose and had little thicker socks and not sure which to take

Laces untying: tuck them into the net pocket at the top of the tongue.
