I had a t460 at work for a couple of years. I loved the keyboard and build quality so I bought a refurbished t470 about 2 years ago for home. I have the docking station, 2nd monitor, 2 external SSD drives, a Logitech webcam and a Jabra speaker/microphone unit for online meetings. This is mainly my writing PC. It came with Windows 10 Pro and of course it's not upgradeable to 11 so I nuked Windows and installed Linux Mint. I absolutely love this setup for home and on the go!

Someone might've told you by now, but you can scroll with the trackpoint by holding the middle button among the buttons found between the keyboard and trackpad and moving the trackpoint around

It actually feels better than scrolling with two fingers on the trackpad

Just bought an inexpensive used T470 to replace an HP laptop that died. Transferred the 16g memory over and fitted a 1TB NVME drive and it just flies for general use. Absolutely love the keyboard. Very solid and logical design. PgUp and PgDn keys in the right place. Power key NOT incorporated into the general keyboard next to the delete key (!). Only minor gripe is that I'm used to the Ctrl key right in the bottom corner where the Fn key is.

Last time I had a thinkpad was a used 560e about 20 years ago. Wish i'd never sold it.

Good news!

You can scroll with trackpoint by holding down middle button on trackpad and pushing trackpoint up or down. Great vid tho T470 is my daily driver.

about the trackpoint: you can press the middle button above your trackpoint to scroll with it (you need to keep it pressed while scrolling)

Just upgraded my ram to 16gb. I just needed one ram stick and it was upgraded. And the ram only cost $14 American.

Sorry bud. I had to stop listening to this review halfway through because they music was annoying to begin with but as the video went on it was speeding up causing anxiety. Is there any point to that kind of music when we're listening to you speak?
