oh and around 1h10m - 1h15m "medic" is definitely a language like "engineering"

you do also get some of this in history where a term that the lay person may use as a general or non-specific thing but to a historian has a specific meaning, examples might be a "Henge" under which Stone Henge is questionably a Henge, subdivisions of Roman helment types, or it can be the other way around with the pre-18th century divisions of muzzle loading cannon into specifically defined subtypes (Falconet, Demi-cannon etc) which today we all lump together as "cannon" (which was a specific calibre/size)... this was before it was standardised by the Royal Ordnance into the "X pounder" system

I am sad that I missed this live - I keep wanting to make comments

On the other hand adding a comment here will hopefully help the algorythm!

It is remarkable, in some ways, how little known this phase of the French Revolutionary Wars/Napoleonic Wars is/was - I thought I knew something about them but did not realise the Russians and Ottomans were actually cooperating this closely nor that they were operating so far west in the Med at all!

Will wonders never cease! (yes, that is sarcasm, as long as there is political expediency there will be no end of surprises in who will work with who)

New is relative; New York 340 years, Newcastle 940 years. When there is both an old fort and a new fort the distinction is valid; things get messy if a third newer fort is built.

1799 was 223 years ago.
(Pedantic comments are still comments, I figured)

Would a war between Scotland and England today be a bit like the Ukraine Russia war?
