Who are these meme-based types? Here's my take on them.

The characters were reproduced (re-drawn) by Einzelgänger. Script, cuts, voice by Einzelgänger. Doomer: Depressed and tries to keep himself away from the hopelessness of the world
Boomer: Blissful and keeps to his guns from when he was raised, however is outdated and even if some advice helps, his advice doesn't always work on zoomers and doomers, bloomers try to teach them about the modern world, doesn't always work
Bloomer: Cheerful and spreads happiness, hope, and faith in a good infinite future (might be religious or not, just depends), tries to make things better, doesn't work on everyone sadly
Zoomer: Smarty and gamer kid, acts like the younger are the 100% best but is a pansy and doesn't always learn from mistakes, slowly becomes a doomer or can meta morph into a bloomer
Honker/Honkler: Clowns, Jesters, Jokers, Etc. they laugh at the insanity of the world, and piss off most others expect Bloomers. They know the hopelessness of the world at times, yet they would rather die and move on to the next life laughing, then to die with a frown
Tumors: Scum of humanity, people who make Doomers and are the biggest morons of life, are ignorant, selfish, sinful, stupid, and overall don't understand when to quit. Biggest babies on earth, acting like you need to bend to what they want when they want it, as in, stubborn spoiled lazy idiots

You seem to have missed the irony behind the boomer. The meme version of the boomer are millennials coming to terms with hitting their 30s. Realizing that the world has changed so much from their childhood and feeling nostalgic about it. That's one aspect of it. Then there's also the feelings of disconnect from the zoomers who didn't experience life before the internet. Also the disconnect from the actual boomer generation who got to coast through life in a favorable economy and now have the hubris dispense advice to millennials about "picking themselves up by their bootstraps."
