He deserves the attention. I've listened to Gene about as long as he has been singing. He has a great voice. I've never got to see him in concert, but watch his videos on YouTube. Country music will.loose a great one when he's gone. They just don't make them like that anymore. Lol

Just saw Gene last Saturday night in Orange Grove Texas at The Post. He said his voice wasn’t up to par, but I beg to differ. He sounded as good as he did the first time I saw him, which was at The Farmer’s Daughter in San Antonio. He was just getting to be known in the area and I’ve been a fan ever since. Since I first heard him, I’ve had 2 favorite singers, Gene and George Jones. Thanks be to God, Gene’s still singing and he’s still the best.
