Would be nice if they first address current issues, such as players who don’t help the kingdom in kvk but are still included in matchmaking. Make crystal tech more f2p friendly. Make home kingdom more interesting or give us a recovery kvk to have fun in. Address the fact that we dont have enough rss or speed ups for the level of fighting we would like to have. Bridge the gap between f2p vs p2w kvks. Stop giving us events where we spend more than what the reward is!

T6 is not scary by itself, the no of farms required to keep up with the healing cost is, it's already super boring to farm 1 and half month for a maximum of 5 days fight . People should never be forced to have farm accounts, reducing healing costs or a buff to gathering speed will solve both t6 shi and kds which are doing recovery kvks imo

I'm against t6 units because of the wider gap, but I'm also against giving free stuff to the players (like they mention free city halls and t5), because that defeats the purpose of the strategy game and de-values progress you have been doing (both time and possibly money)

There is just no way that T6 can ever be healthy for the game. It will just widen the gap between f2p, low and midspenders and whales even more.

As someone who's also been playing for 6 years (started in November a month after yourself), I'm very interested in this.

In my opinion the game has been pretty much stagnant for 6 years. Our combat and progression has remained untouched and it just feels very stale. There obviously have been additions as you touched on, like equipment, iconic, formations and so forth, but to me those are power creep features. They're just lazy implementations to make us spend more money, where they could instead add another dynamic to the game that's not pay to win and gives us more flexibility.

The 6 years of forming balls, smashing them into each other and then calling it a day when the other side does or doesn't have more troops, just doesn't fit with the concept of a strategy game which this is supposed to be. Back in the day RoK was a huge upgrade giving us full move about control of our armies, compared to other games where we had point and march systems, like fire age (I also played, also logged in one day and saw my packages go from 1m of each resource, to 100b of each resource, which wasn't really power creep, it was a complete system redesign and I think using that as an example of power creep is disingenuous) but it's not unique anymore, that's niche appeal it once had to those of us who played these point and click games for the last almost 2 decades has long since worn off, and the idea that RoK is an RTS is just not true anymore, it's just a who has the most big players game now. 100 beats 60 end of story kinda thing.

For example, you can't even break up your balls into say 3 smaller balls and try flank around some terrain to encircle because the initial ball that takes the impact just gets flattened in seconds and they turn to crush your flank like it's nothing too. Personally I feel like it's time to change it up and bring the gameplay up to a higher standard. I too am not that interested in the whole modern warfare aspect of their proposal, but I think mobile ranged units and perhaps some additional multipliers like "Damage factor increased by 30% from flank" & Damage factor increased by 50% from rear" or terrain modifiers like swampland bogging down infantry reducing move speed and hit effectiveness, where ranged units can fire over and cavalry aren't impeded, or forested areas where cavalry movement speed and hit effectiveness are decreased by 30% alongside range units hit rate going down by 30% (30% chance your ranged auto and skill just misses outright).

I think systems like this could drastically improve the gameplay and add a level or true skill and coordination to the players be they f2p or p2w, rather than it simply being who has the biggest kingdom and which leadership group is best at convincing gigawhales to migrate on tickets.

In addition, there are more in-depth games of this genre coming out, age of empires being a prime example and with RoK's already dwindling new-player base I can't see these additional subjectively better games doing them any favors if they keep the statuesque. Most new kingdoms are 70% jumper project (leaving old lose streak kingdoms empty and dead) and 30% new player most of whom never make it past CH17 then uninstall the game.

At the end of the day, RoK is a live service game, not a standalone completed game, so you should have no expectation whatsoever that it will just remain the same as it always had to preserve your feeling of "I completed everything in the game", and it's also one that's had little to no updates aside from a slightly different SoC map/system for almost 6 years which is why you feel the way you do. I lost that feeling the moment equipment came out. I think it was what, end of December/January when we got the ark of Osiris update teaser and a few months later kvk teaser, so give or take, 5 years with no update or change aside from power creep features that are literally content less (equipment/formation etc etc) and thrown together in a day "events" which are just a banner in a menu with an item that appears in your bag, wow so ingenious, so riveting.

I don't see RoK surviving another 6 years if it remains the way it is today because there's just so many better options out there and more coming, especially with the bar to programming a game like this and making the in game artwork dropping with AI assistance. I bet in 3-4 years a group of friends can make a game that blows RoK out of the water for 1/100th of RoKs initial design budget.

TLDR; The game feels stale and devoid of any real strategy, it's just which server spends the most money AKA has the bigger stick wins. It needs some real strategy after 6 years. (PS. Not a salty f2p take, my wife and I are whales in a winning server).

Giving someone T-5 is complete BS and a slap in the face to us seasoned players. We spent time and money obtaining T5. Now the dialogue is about giving T5 away? If your account does not progress to T5, then so be it. It's a game full of challenges and competitions. The odds should not be stacked in anyone's favor who does not earn it the same way everyone else does.

After t6 all t4 needs to stop playing, I heard lilith said after t6 people who reach end game kvk get automatically t5 this is suxx how about all our efforts to this game lol
