1,216 - Governing Body to Be Blamed for Anthony Morris Scandal

The governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses, by way of their unscriptural disciplinary measures, have created a secret-society-like system where the offenses of punished members are not revealed. That scenario is responsible for GREAT SPECULATION on the reasons Anthony Morris was ousted from the governing body. Now he is being accused of horrible things, and the governing body (as far as I know) has not issued a statement to clear the air.

If they cared one iota about the reputation of Morris, they would have done the decent thing of announcing that his dismissal has nothing to do with the allegations. On the other hand, by not issuing such a statement they certainly give the impression they are true. All of this MESS because they have refused to follow what the Bible teaches on the subject, as espoused by Jesus Christ Himself.

I agree with you. One of the reasons the congregation is not informed is in the case where people repent. In the case of Anthony Morris, he has an important position that effects millions so if the accusations are true, it needs to be identified.

Its not just that they made him step down. They’re removing any trace of him from all publications and books as well. They are literally making him disappear and waiting for him to die. He’s put up in a house with his wife, where he is monitored 24/7.
