I’m getting surgery in a few months and have watched this video countless times and every single time she gets taken from her parents I start crying because I know I will defo be bawling my eyes out when I get taken away from them. Also the anaesthesia terrifies me because I’m scared I won’t wake up or I’ll wake up during the surgery and be able to feel everything. Well done to this little girl for being so incredibly brave

I have survived cancer three times in a matter of my 12-year-old life, I couldn’t be more happy and so grateful that I haven’t lost myself to my cancer (leukemia) i’ve gone in for surgery to help really slow down and figure out what’s going on but it’s quite stressful when I’ve gone through so many surgeries from 11 months old to 12 years old now. It’s been really scary for me because me being so young it was harder for me to find out that I could of died in so many different ways so many times I hope everyone’s doing well and they don’t have to go through what I have to.

(This was in February). I have had long-term constipation since the age of one. I went to Levine Children’s Hospital to get a tube inserted into my colon. I liked them because they let me get my bear (I was 12, but anytime I’ve been in the hospital, that bear was there with me). They said I could keep her all through my surgery. If you are watching this and getting surgery at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will be in great hands.

This has been my hospital since I was born and it is my second home. I love the staff like my family. I have had 15 surgeries plus an endoscopy. So if you see it cardinal glennon, no matter how old I get, you will always have my heart!!

When I had my first surgery when I was four to help me walk, I swear there was never a talk about “ Magical Air “ and they never let me take my blanket to the operating room, just me and the doctors talking about soccer before I fell asleep to the anesthesia. After that I was given just plain water and wheeled me out of the hospital while I was eating chips. I can tell you I felt like an idiot. This hospital is nicer than the one I have

When I was 7 I said I wanted to be a pediatrician a kids doc and I did turn to that I watched this vid and Said “mom I want to be a kids doc” the kids I’ve worked with are so nice

I had knee surgery which was painful later but the doctors were really nice and they calmed me when i had to get the IV in btw its painful
When i got out of surgery all i did was sleep and we. Spent a total of 7 hours in the hospital

this hospital saved my life I was at kidney failure, and I went thru surgery like that I had about 5 IVs and a huge one on my leg, but I survived and I’m healthy and better now!

I had got an infection in my hip after my tonsillectomy surgery. I had never knew what caused it until a few months when i was helping my grandmother move her old
Bed outside and ask what this huge brownish red stain was she told me it was when i spent the night right after surgery... I woke Up In the middle of night and cough Up alot blood and just go back to sleep. Not once did they think about calling my mom or taking me to the hospital. A few months after surgery my hip starts bothering me and I end Up having an infection. I hate to say it but I believe that
If i just would of listen to mom and not begged her to spent the night. My hip might not be hurting today

I recently got surgery and it was scary. I didn't want to leave my mom, so I cried so hard to the point I was coughing. I fell asleep before I went to the operating room. Thinking about that day makes me cry. 😭😭😭

I had my surgery at the hospital. They took off my wisdom teeth and everything. I felt so brave. And I woke up still in the operating room and I felt better. It was such a pretty good surgery. When I was 11, they gave me a surgery for putting tubes on my ears to relieve the pressure. It was pretty good.:)

I’m an early bloomer so I had to get surgery to stop growing for a bit. that time I didn’t cry but the second surgery I had to get the thing they put inside of me I bawled my eyes out and there was like a 1 year gap between the surgeries

I literally just got surgery on my shoulder and it didn't hurt at all during the surgery but after was a different story. That girl is so brave and so lucky she got to leave right after the surgery and get the iv out right away. And I don't blame her for being hungry lol!
