It's either major 6 or minor 6 chords, he doesn't consider them min7 chords. So Cm would be Eb6. The Ebm7 would be Gb6. Some of the resulting harmonizations don't seem to sound good so that's probably why they were changed. eg the b7 Db over Ebm7 would normally be part of the Gb 6th chord not a diminished chord.The C over Ebm7 would take a dim chord not be considered an Ebm6
