Mounting the 50kg Bathroom Scale Load Cells to a Board

An update to the previous 50kg Bathroom Scale Load Cells tutorial:

I forgot to mention some critical details about mounting the 50kg bathroom scale load cells to a wooden board. It is important that the strain gauge has room to move up and down. The easiest way to achieve this is to 3D print a mounting frame for it. Alternatively, you could also drill a hole to your weight plate.

Thanks for your video. Nowhere else does anyone mention this critical part of mounting these load cells.

Good description. The strain gauges are mounted on the top face middle arm between the outer and the inner squares, and are intended for one to compress and one to stretch as load is applied like a 'Z'. Your ring support makes it so the bending is concentrated on the middle bar.

Boa noite, você poderia me explicar uma coisa, se é possível com o Arduino montar celular de carga para suportar até 800 kilos?

Thanks. That was exactly the information i was after.

Hey, I was wondering if you knew what size screws are used to connect these mounts to the board? Love the video, thanks!

I tried to print from the file you shared, but I can not do it because it says it has grouped models. I am new in this 3D printing area. Can you help me? Maybe share a file with the two pieces by separate? Or tell me which online service I can use to print your design. I would really appreaciate it.

Nice explanation.
I want to use a 50 kg load cell. but in the code available for 10 kg full bridge load cell .
could you please tell me whether i need to make any change in the code.(Aurdino uno)

I noticed on the ohm meter, there was no change in resistance when pressing on the part that is in contact with the board, only when pressing on the outer most part of the tab. Is this going to cause a reading issue with the arduino?

Hello, a query do you have the design of the housing that you did to the cell please, I need that to be able to print it in 3D, thanks for the video.

Can I connect 2 of these load sensors in parallel to do a comparison of weight of 2 different objects?

Hello!
I am going to use 4 independent different weigh calculators in my project. Each one will be seperated from each other. Can I use these 4 Load cells with a single hx711?

I'm trying to make a pull measuring device for archery with a single cell like you've wired up. But I want to read 0% at relaxed and 100% at full draw. I don't really care about the weight itself just the range. Is there a way to have scale.read() return 0 to 100 range? thx

Nice video. Can you tell me, is there any other option if you don't have a 3D printer to mount without gluing the load cell down (or routing out a hole in the board)? Can I made something or buy something cheaply and easily (off the shelf components at a hardware store) that will allow me to mount the load cells off the board a few millimeters and keep it in place? Thanks.

could you share the document of the 3d printed part so we can print it ourselves?
