Webinar: Reimagining the Rural West

WGA hosted the webinar, Reimagining the Rural West, on Tuesday, July 16. WGA Chair and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum introduced the themes and policy issues to be explored through his Chairman’s Initiative. Panelists discussed the range of experiences and challenges encountered in the rural West, and shared ideas for building vibrant rural communities. Panelists included Matthew Rantanen, Director of Technology, Southern California Tribal Chairmen’s Association; Robin Brown, Executive Director, Grand Junction Economic Partnership; and Joe Willauer, Executive Director, Butte Local Development Corporation. This webinar was the first in a series as part of the Western Governors’ Reimagining the Rural West Initiative, the central policy initiative of WGA Chair North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.
