This video is very strange. The warlord armies in the 1930s do not exist and the Nationalist divisions are not placed in the correct locations, being all lined up along provincial borders with various warlords, even though those warlords were allied to the Nationalists and most units were concentrated around population centres. In many cases you have portrayed dozens of units being lined up along uninhabited mountain ranges and deserts. The Communists seizing territory around Tongchuan in Shaanxi in August 1936 is as far as I can tell entirely fictional.

I like the little details at 02:02-02:37 where the red army got almost completely wiped out, broke through the nationalist forces, meandered (read: *LONG MARCH* ) around south and central China, before settled in the northern region, where Xi Zhongxhun (Current Xi's father) gave the Red army save haven, with cost of less than 10k remained.

Interesting. I don’t know where u got the data, but all sources seem to suggest the KMT has larger losses than CCP especially from 1945-1949. That is more authentic because most KMT forces got systemically wiped out.

Say what you want about Chiang kai shek and Mao zedong but i admire how when the Japanese invaded, they put the civil war on hold to focus on the outside threat. It is very rare to see, especially in a huge civil war like this
